Meeting Of The Interim Executive Committee
- The next meeting of the Interim Executive Committee will be held at 10.30 AM on Saturday 07 April 07 at our HQ location in Sector 28/A, Chandigarh.
- The Agenda for the meeting will be as follows:
- A review of our activities to-date.
- Appointment of following Sub-Committees.
- Action Committee for quick ISC response to rising issues.
- Press Liaison Sub Committee.
- Coaching Scheme Supervisory Sub Committee.
- Selection and allotment of Information gathering projects to selected voluntary members. Some suggested topics are:-
- Problems facing the Sikhs today : Study the problem and actually getting hands-on info by talking to and meeting various concerned people. Then come up with solutions to these and the role ISC can play.
- Problems facing youth in village schools : With particular reference to the age-group 3 to 8 years. Identify Schools needing ISC help by Districts.
- Problems facing youth in Rural Colleges : Identify bright students needing sponsorship to complete graduation and entering professions. ISC needs to help them.
- Institutions Training Sikh Gianis : Identify these and the flaws in their training. Spheres in which ISC can raise the level of training to a very high standard.
- Suicides amongst Sikhs especially farmers : Study the root cause of the problem and help needed to tackle this and eliminate it.
- Approve ISC projects for coaching selected XI and XII class students in rural centres at Morinda and Kharar.
- Decide venue and date for the Annual General Body meeting. Outline agenda to be discussed.
- Review the working and progress of our Advisory Councils.
- Any other points raised by members with the permission of the Chair.
- This being a very important meeting, all EC members are requested to please attend.
